The short version

Your pumping data stays on your phone unless you choose to sign in for backup or partner sharing. We never sell your data and never show ads.

What is stored on your phone

Pumping sessions (times, side, volumes, optional notes), your milk stash (bags, dates, locations, status), reminders and settings. This data is stored in the app's private storage and may be included in Android's own device backup.

What is stored in the cloud (only if you sign in)

If you sign in with Google, we store a copy of the data above in our database so you can restore it on a new phone and share your stash with a partner you invite. We store your Google account identifier and email address to recognise you. Partners you invite can see shared sessions and stash data.

Payments

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Stripe (including Google Pay through Stripe). We receive your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference — never your full card number. Receipts show BufferSol Technologies.

Analytics and crash reports

We use PostHog for anonymous usage events (for example “session logged”, with categories like duration range) and Sentry for crash reports. These never include volumes, notes or other health values, and we do not use advertising IDs.

Processors

Cloudflare (API hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in, Google Pay), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (crash reports). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Retention and deletion

Cloud data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account in the app (Settings → Backup & account → Delete account) or request deletion here; we remove your cloud data within 30 days (in-app deletion is immediate). Deleting the app removes the data on your phone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (UK GDPR, PIPEDA in Canada, US state laws such as the CCPA), you can access, correct, export or delete your data and object to processing. The app's Export feature gives you a copy at any time. Contact support@buffersoltech.com.

Children

Pumpwell is for adults (18+).
